Refund Policy

Any fee-paying learner, whether local or international, must remit his/her fees as stipulated in the Terms and Conditions and by the date(s) advised.

Course Fees

Course fees paid are refundable subject to the following conditions:

  • 100% Refund: If the learner’s written notice of withdrawal is received by the Academy fourteen (14) or more days before the commencement date.
  • 0% Refund: If the learner’s written notice of withdrawal is received less than fourteen (14) days before the commencement date or after the course has commenced.

Withdrawals Policy

All withdrawals shall adhere to the aforementioned clauses on refunds. Requests for transfers and withdrawals must be made in writing to the Academy at least two (2) weeks in advance. The learner will be informed of the outcome within two (2) weeks, and the withdrawal process will take approximately four (4) to six (6) weeks upon receipt of notice.

In the event of any withdrawal, a counseling session will be held between the learner and the Academy’s staff to understand the reasons for withdrawal and, where appropriate, to offer alternative courses to the learner. The learner will make the final decision on whether to remain with the Academy or to proceed with the withdrawal or transfer.

Learners with medical conditions or genuine financial difficulties must support their claims with official documentary evidence submitted to the Academy for consideration. The decision made by the General Manager shall be final, and the learner concerned shall be informed in writing of the Academy’s decision.

Extension Policy

An Extension is defined as an extension in course duration after course commencement, supported by valid reasons and approved by the General Manager. All extension requests must be supported by official documentary evidence.

The extension process takes approximately two (2) weeks upon receipt of notice. The maximum period of extension is twelve (12) months. Approval for such requests is handled on a case-by-case basis, and the Academy’s decision is final and not subject to dispute.

Deferment / Transfer Policy

A “Deferment” is defined as a delay in the course commencement date of the registered course, supported by valid reasons and approved by the General Manager. All deferment requests must be supported by official documentary evidence. A “Transfer” is defined as a change of course or level within the same course, either before or after the commencement date.

If a learner wishes to apply for deferment or transfer before course commencement, the request must be submitted in writing at least two (2) weeks before the course commences. Verbal notices will not be accepted. The learner will be informed of the outcome within two (2) weeks, and the deferment or transfer process will take approximately four (4) to six (6) weeks upon receipt of notice.

Transfer is NOT permitted after the second lesson. Deferment is NOT allowed within seven (7) days before the commencement of lessons for short courses with a duration of less than three (3) months.

A written request is required. Please complete the relevant form. When transferring or deferring a class, learners must take the next available class. Otherwise, the course fee will be forfeited. Transfer/Deferment fees include:

  • Administrative charge ($50.00 excluding GST)
  • Difference in course fee if the fee for the latter class is higher

When transferring to a class with a lower course fee, there will be no refund of the difference in course fees. Approval for such requests is handled on a case-by-case basis, and the Academy’s decision is final and not subject to dispute.

Disclaimer

In the event that SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) rejects the grant application for any reason, the learner hereby agrees to assume full financial responsibility for the course fees. The learner must pay the total amount of the course fees within thirty (30) days of receiving notification of the grant rejection from SSG.
