To equip DPOs with basic knowledge and skills in complying with PDPA policies.

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), organisations are required to appoint one or more Data Protection Officers (DPOs) to be responsible for ensuring the organisation’s compliance with the PDPA.

To equip DPOs with basic knowledge and skills in complying with the PDPA, a three-day course – “Fundamentals of the Personal Data Protection Act (2020)” – has been developed under the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) skills framework for ICT.

Mr Daniel Wong

Daniel Wong has been a Senior Training Consultant and WDA Approved Trainer-Assessor and Courseware Developer for the last ten years. Since year 2000, he has been training the adult educators in the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) programme. Daniel has also attained the Masters in Business Administration from University of Dubuque (USA).

His expertise includes training and consultancy in other frameworks like Customer Service, Sales, People Excellence, Leadership Excellence, Business Management, Cross-Cultural Interaction, Franchising and Emotional Intelligence. Most of the training are customized or contextualized to client’s industries. He has more than twenty years of industry experience, having held Senior Management positions primarily in Multi-national Companies and Local Large Companies. He has also been covering the Asia Pacific region for more than ten years.
